About The Hatchets & The Kellers
Meet the Hatchets. Jason Hatchet has retired from his dissatisfying career early and built up a relatively peaceful farm with his wife Betts along with their children; a middle schooler who is somewhat more psychotic than average, a high-functioning sociopath determined to get into med school by any means necessary, and a normal teenager with absolutely nothing strange about her at all. This family is chaotic, bloodthirsty, and hiding a secret. Multiple secrets, actually.Meet the Kellers. Gertrude Keller used to be a teacher in the city until a forseen "accident" took her husband from this mortal plane. Now she has no choice but to move to a small midwestern town with her children; fire-raiser twins who play games with escalating stakes (and lots of gasoline), a daughter who believes herself practicing witchcraft through handicrafts, and a son who, by all accounts, is fairly normal, if not a bit weird at school. The best way to describe this comic is probably as a horror-comedy slice-of-life with some family feuding plus a healthy dose of wholesome friendships and murder. I intend for this story to be as long as it needs to be. I update when I can, usually in plot chunks.
CONTENT WARNINGS
Murder, death, and abuse of all age groups; lots of blood, cannibalism, people with mental health issues not being taken care of properly, bad people doing bad things, good people doing bad things, horrible things taken as a joke in-universe, people in power using that power, and Maggie.
